TRichard Mansur
RICHARD MANSUR,
President and CEO, is responsible for the overall direction
and philosophy of Azul Hospitality Group. Skilled in product
positioning and creative revenue generation, Mansur has
an innate ability to turn a property’s weak spots
into assets, maximizing revenues from each component of
a resort. Mansur also maintains personal involvement with
every aspect of the business, particularly with hiring
and development. Additionally, he has longstanding industry
relationships and is able to bring the appropriate strategic
alliances and joint venture partners to ensure a successful
project.
Prior to founding Azul Hospitality Group, Mansur served as Senior Vice President of JC Resorts, a privately-held collection of some of the finest resort hotels and golf courses in Southern California. While working with JC Resorts, Mansur managed a portfolio of upscale resort properties, including the Rancho Bernardo Inn in San Diego; the Surf and Sand Resort in Laguna Beach; the Temecula Creek Inn in the wine region of the Temecula Valley; and the Scripps Inn in La Jolla. Additionally, Mansur oversaw the overall performance of nine JC Resorts golf course properties throughout Southern California.
Mansur is also actively involved with many industry-related organizations. He is a past president of the San Diego Hotel Association and has served on the executive committees of the San Diego Convention & Visitors Bureau, San Diego North Convention & Visitors Bureau, and the San Diego Lodging Association. Mansur was also awarded the “Gold Key Person of the Year” in 1999 by the San Diego Hospitality Industry.
Mansur has a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Redlands and a Master of Business Administration from California State University, San Marcos.
