TJan Smith

Jan Smith, Corporate Director of Human Resources, oversees employee recruitment and training and handles human resources for all of AHG’s development projects and resort properties. 

Smith brings a twenty-year success record to Azul Hospitality Group. In addition, she offers an unparalleled ability to provide organizations and individual clients with invaluable professional advice in the areas of training and development, employee relations, recruitment, and human resource management.  Noted as an expert within the recruitment field on difficult-to-hire positions, Smith has completed several large-scale pre-opening recruitment projects, including identifying and placing the opening staff for the 2,500-room Beau Rivage Mirage Resort property in Biloxi, Mississippi, as well as similar recruiting assignments for major Las Vegas casino organizations.
 
In addition to working with Azul Hospitality Group, Smith is the founder and principal of Inland Management Group.  She has provided employment services to numerous industries including hospitality, entertainment, and retail for companies such as The Walt Disney Company and its subsidiaries; Mirage Resorts Inc.; Westin Resorts; Caesars Palace Entertainment Company; Princess Cruises; and Pechanga Resort and Casino.

Smith holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business from the University of La Verne and a Certification in Human Resources from California State University, Northridge.
